CBS & Turner Sports officially announced their schedule and the broadcast plans for this years 2014 NCAA Men's National Basketball Tournament. The tournament will start Tuesday, March 18th with the First Four doubleheader on truTV, followed by a second First Four twinbill Wednesday, March 19th. Second and Third Round coverage will continue thru the weekend of March 20th through the 23rd on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV. It was previously noted some of the changes in the broadcast pairs with Greg Anthony joining Jim Nantz and Steve Kerr for the Final Four. Also, Ernie Johnson will be the host of the Final Four Show during TBS's coverage of the Final Four at 4 p.m.. Greg Gumbel will host a one hour 'Road to the Final Four' pregame-pregame show one hour before. The National Semifinals will also are on TNT and truTV as a Teamcast, with the schools local broadcast represented on each network.
Other changes announced, TBS will have coverage of the first two regional final games on Saturday March 29th from Memphis and Anaheim. The remaining Elite Eight games will be on CBS Sunday, March 30th from New York and Indianapolis. Also, for the first time, the National Championship game will have a half hour pregame show at 8:30 p.m. on CBS with the championship games tip off scheduled at 9:10 p.m. ET.
