Notes & Notes: Michelle Beadle on the move, Super Bowl Streaming

  • Yesterday, Sports Illustrated reported Michelle Beadle will be leaving NBC/Univerasal and will be heading back to ESPN. If true, it will the end of the acrimonious two year tenure for popular host at the peacock. The former host of the cancelled Crossover has been off all NBC Sports events, including the Winters Olympics in Sochi. Beadle's show as well as her profile was tarnished at the network after a controversial podcast, where she criticized the network's promotion of her program and the network itself. Beadle, who left ESPN 2012 on good times, has a huge fan in ESPN President John Skipper is expected to be back after her contract ends in March. No comments from any of the parties.

  • FOX Sports announced that they will be streaming Super Bowl XLVIII on FOX Sports Go. The subscription based platform will be made available free on Sunday, February 2 at midnight until 3 a.m. on Monday, February 3rd. The entire broadcast will be simulcasted online and for the first time, the game will available in English and Spanish. It will be available on tablets and desktops, but due to restrictions it will not be available on phones.
