MLB Network Offseason Programming

The Red Sox are the world champions, but Major League Baseball will continue to go round.  Awards and Hot Stove news are upon the MLB universe and MLB Network will have it all covered.  The league owned network will begin its off season programming starting on Monday, November 4th with new and old shows as well as new face.

MLB Network's Hot Stove returns on Monday, as Matt Vasgersian and Harold Reynolds return to host the daily morning show live at 9 a.m. for their second season.  In the afternoon, Intentional Talk hosted by Chris Rose and Kevin Millar is reduced to a half hour for the off season and moves at 3 p.m., followed by the return of saber metrics heavy Clubhouse Confidential hosted with Brian Kenny at 3:30 p.m. That will lead into MLB Tonight live at 6 p.m. featuring all of the networks extensive talent.  Aside from hot stove news, MLB Tonight will be the home of the announcements for all the individual MLB Awards.

In addition, MLB Network has announced the addition of Ron Darling as the newest MLB Network analyst for the off season.  The New York Mets analyst for the team owned SNY Network, recently re-signed with Turner Sports and will start Monday as an analyst for MLB Tonight.  And finally, MLB Network will start a new weekly program called MLB Insiders, featuring MLB's top reporters covering the game.  Greg Amsinger and Paul Severino will host and it will feature esteem writers Peter Gammon's, Sports Illustrated's Tom Verducci, FOX Sports Ken Rosenthal, New York Post's Joel Sherman, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman and presumably others.  It will appear to be similar to ESPN's NFL Insiders program featuring non-athletes. MLB Insiders will premiere Monday November 11 at 10 p.m.
