NFL 2015 TV Primer

     CBS
  • CBS will be the broadcast home of Super Bowl 50 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, February 7th.  CBS will also broadcast four additional AFC postseason games including a Wild Card game, two Divisional games and the AFC Championship.
  • Thursday Night Football will return to CBS with eight simulcasted games with NFL Network, from Weeks 2 to 8, and week 13. CBS will air the majority of the AFC games on Sundays, with select NFC contests.
  • Announcers: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms return as the primary announcers and will be joined by lead sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson. They will be the main broadcast team for Thursday nights, select National Sunday games and the Super Bowl. Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts return as the B team and will be assigned select national games.
  • Pregame: The NFL Today returns with the cast will work on a new studio set for the coming season.  Host James Brown returns, along with Boomer Esiason, Bill Cowher, Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott.    Mike Carey is the show’s rules expert and Jason La Canfora as the broadcast’s NFL Insider.  Deion Sanders will join Brown and Cowher for the NFL Thursday Night Kickoff pregame show before TNF, with Rich Eisen anchoring the second set.

      NBC
  • NBC will air 19 primetime games, including a full season of Sunday Night Football. It will also air two prime time Thursday games (Kickoff game and Thanksgiving night).  
  • Flex Scheduling:  At least two games may be flexed to SNF from Weeks 5-10, with the traditional flex scheduling beginning Week 11. The final game which will have the most direct impact to the playoffs will be announced six days before the end of the season.
  • Postseason: NBC will air two playoff games, including a Wild Card Game and a Divisional game
  • Announcers: Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth return to the booth for their seventh season, with sideline reporter Michele Tafoya in her fifth.
  • Pregame: NBC’s Football Night in America pregame show airs at 7 pm ET with Bob Costas hosting from the game site and Dan Patrick anchoring the studio show from New York, along with Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison, previewing the SNF game and recapping the earlier games.

     FOX
  • FOX Sports will have regular season coverage of NFC games with the league option to flex games with CBS to enhance national doubleheader coverage.  FOX will broadcast three NFC playoff games, including a Wild Card game, a Divisional games and the NFC Championship.
  • Announcers: FOX’s NFL broadcast will return Joe Buck and Troy Aikman and sideline reporter Erin Andrews as the lead broadcast team.  Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch will be the B team, along with reporter Pam Oliver.  Other assignments of note: Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston will re-team, but with a new reporter Laura Okmin.  Tony Siragusa will work with newly formed team of Thom Brennaman and Charles Davis.  
  • Pregame: FOX NFL pregame show will expand to two hours, with FOX NFL Kickoff moving from cable to broadcast TV, one hour before FOX NFL Sunday.  The main show will return hosts Terry Bradshaw and Curt Menefee, with analysts Howie Long, Michael Strahan and Jimmy Johnson. NFL insider Jay Glazer and rules expert Mike Pereira contribute to the broadcast, with Rob Riggle providing comedy and predictions.
