MLB National TV Schedule: Opening Week


Play Ball!  The 2014 MLB baseball season gets under way and ESPN jumps out of the gate on Opening Day.  Monday, ESPN & ESPN2 will combine for five  home openers in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Miami and Anaheim.  MLB Network will have eight games throughout the week, including the season premiere of MLB Network Showcase from Fenway Park as the World Champion Boston Red Sox's host Milwaukee. MLBN will also debut Sunday afternoon baseball throughout the spring staring with Baltimore at Detroit.  

Saturday afternoon is the premiere of MLB on FOX Sports 1 with a national doubleheader.  The afternoon begins with an Indians and Twins matinee from Cleveland.  That will be followed by a national telecast featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting their arch-rivals the San Francisco Giants at Chavez Ravine.  The  game will be the debut of FOX's new A-team of Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci.

  1. Jaymee Sire will be the reporter for Rockies/ Marlins and Jessica Mendoza will be for Mariners/ Angels.

  2. Dan Shulman will not be the play-by-play voice for Sunday Night Baseball this Sunday as he will be in Arlington calling the Final Four and Championship for ESPN America (International feed). The sub should be announced today by ESPN Media Zone.
