2014 MLB on FOX & FOX Sports 1 Broadcast Schedule (UPDATE: Reynolds & Verducci join Buck)

****10:40 PM:  The Big Lead has broken that MLB Network's Harold Reynolds and Sports Illustrated's Tom Verducci will be the co-analyst with Joe Buck for MLB on FOX.  Reynolds has been a studio analyst and occasional game analyst for MLBN since joining the network in 2009.  Verducci has worked preliminarily in the studio and as a reporter for MLBN and TBS, while working as an analyst for FOX's Game of the Week the last 2 seasons.  FOX Sports.com's Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews are expected to be the field reporters for the feature games, including the World Series.

FOX Sports have announced the 2014 MLB Schedule on FOX and FOX Sports 1.  The schedule includes at least one game every Saturday and game select week nights. 52 games will air over the air or on cable including 20 Saturday doubleheaders, 10 on FS1 and 10 split between the two networks.  Of note, the FOX national games will be exclusive, but games on MLB Extra Inning package will not be blacked out.  Games airing on FOX Sports 1 will co-exist with local markets of the teams they are airing.  Each game will preceded by a new pregame show, likely based out of the FS1 studios in Los Angeles, so it appears the association with MLB Network appears to be over. 

The season premiere will be Saturday, April 5th with a FS1 double header between the Twins and Indians, followed by the Giants taking on the Dodgers.  FOX will start their broadcast premiere on Saturday Night May 24th, with 3 regional games at primetime.  FOX will also air the 2014 All-Star Game from Target Field in Minneapolis on Tuesday, July 15.

Though no announcement on how games will be split in the postseason, come October FOX/FOX Sports 1 will have coverage of the playoffs of one of the two leagues, including both divisional series' and the League Championship Serie.  The World Series will air exclusively on FOX.  Conspicuously missing from the release is the announcement of the new game analyst  and the replacement for the Tim McCarver.
