Winter Olympics: NBC Talent Assignments

 

The Sochi games go live on NBC on February 6 and the peacock have released their full talent roster for the games. Bob Costas will once again host and will be co-MC the opening ceremonies with NBC's Today show host Matt Lauer and former host Meredith Veira. Al Michaels, Dan Patrick, NBC News' Lester Holt and NBCSN rising star Rebecca Lowe will round out the on-air hosts during the day. Conspicuously absent from the list is once rising star Michelle Beadle who appears to be blacklisted from all major NBC Sports events.

NBC also added former Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan as an analyst to figure skating, coming off the 20th anniversary of the controversial episode with nemesis Tonya Harding.  Tom Hammond will call the figure skating events with an all-star Olymic cast of analysts including Scott Hamilton, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipimski. NBC's NHL team of Mike Emrick, Ed Olcyzk and Pierre McGuire will anchor the Hockey coverage calling the gold medal round.
