Yesterday ESPN unveiled their game assignments for their 2013 College Football season. With few cosmetic changes in the lower tier of their broadcasts, the top talents will essentially remain the same. Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, the defacto voices of College Football will return to call ABC's prime time showcase. Heather Cox will also be back to man the sidelines for the biggest games of the season over the air. Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge with also return for ESPN's prime time telecast along with Holly Rowe. ESPN and ABC's afternoon games will see minimal changes with Shannon Spake joining Sean McDonough and Chris Spielman and Rod Gilmore (analyst) and Quin Keessnich (reporter) joining Bob Wischusen. Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer and David Pollack will be back for Thursday night's game with rising star Samantha Ponder back on the sidelines.
ESPN's College Football Gameday returns, with an expanded hour now starting at 9AM until noon kick off. Chris Fowler returns as host with the usual cast of Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and reporter Tom Rinaldi at the school hosting the game of the week. New reporters joining the telecast will be Pollack, Ponder, Scott Van Pelt and Gene Wojciechowski.
ESPN and ABC will be the host for over 30 bowl games this year. This includes all of the BCS match up and the National Championship from Rose Bowl in Pasedena, California.
