MLB Opening Week Schedule 4/1 - 4/7 (Updated for Weekend)


Opening Day is finally here! MLB opens the 2013 season with a quadruple header on ESPN and ESPN2. The WWL will open with two matinees on the main network (Sox-Yanks, Giants-Dodgers) and close with a twinbill at night on the deuce (Phillies-Braves, Cards-D'backs). ESPN2 is back with another pair of games Wednesday night and then SNB wrap up the week with Josh Hamilton's return to Texas as the Angels travel to Arlington.

The defending World Champions San Francisco Giants and AL Champs the Detroit Tigerss open at home this weekend with national telecasts against their LCS opponents. Friday afternoon, MLB Network will air a ALCS rematch between the Tigers and New York Yankees in Comerica Park. The Champion Giants follow afterwards in an NLCS return against the St Louis Cardinals at AT&T Park. Both of these series continue as part of FOX's season premiere on Saturday (along with Angels-Rangers), while the season premiere of MLB on TBS will be in Detroit.

Also, MLB Extra Innings will once again offer a one week free preview on Time Warner, DirecTV and Verizon FiOS customers through next Sunday.
