The NFL playoffs begin this weekend with a pair of Wild Card games on NBC. Saturday doubleheader features, the Cincinnati Bengals for the second year in row opening at Houston. The Texans manhandled the Bengals in last years WC game 31-10. Dan Hicks gets his first playoff assignment and will be joined by Mike Mayock and reporter Alex Flanagan. The prime time game will feature the third meeting between NFC North rivals as Minnesota travels to Green Bay. This will be the second game between the two teams in less than a week, as the Vikings win in a classic on Sunday, clinched the six seed and dropped the Packers out of one of the bye spots. The Sunday Night crew of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will get the call, with Michelle Tafoya reporting for NBC's last game of the season.
Sundays afternoons games features the top two picks of the 2012 NFL Draft leading their respective teams back into the playoffs. The Indianapolis Colts, lead by their Quarterback and top overall pick Andrew Luck, will play at their original home in against the Ravens in Baltimore. The Colts are coming off a 2-14 season to a Wild Card clinching 11-5 season without Peyton Manning. CBS's Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will get the call as they begin their run towards Super Bowl XVLII. Later, the Washington Redskins, lead by Robert Griffin III, return to the post season for the first time since 2007 as they host the red hot Seattle Seahawks. The Skins are coming off a division title win against Dallas to end the regular season, while the Seahawks have won 5 straight including putting up two 50-point games. A bloated FOX coverage will feature Joe Buck and Troy Aikman with the call, while Erin Andrews joins Pam Oliver on the sidelines.
